Many of us have been deeply wounded by our experiences in marginality in ways that relate to our ethnicity, race, sexuality, and even socio-economic status. In this session I hope to apply Henri Nouwen's concept of woundedness being a source of healing to others who are deeply broken as part of our God-given, spiritual formation journey.
Rafy Amador is a full-time student pursuing a Masters of Divinity. He graduated with a BA in Church Ministries with an emphasis in Worship Studies from Trinity College of Florida. Born in Puerto Rico, and raised in Florida, Rafy's aim is to engage people who find themselves struggling at the intersections of their race, ethnicity, faith and sexuality. He has a heart for engaging marginalized communities, and has worked with churches in the U.S. as well as Latin America. He is a current member of Sojourn Midtown Church in Louisville, Kentucky where he currently lives.
