Amber Carroll is Parent Content Specialist & Volunteer Engagement Director at EQUIP, which she joined in January of 2018. She leads the prayer team, manages volunteer opportunities, and writes content for parents of young kids, including EQUIP’s 10-hour Parent Course titled “Christian Parenting in a Sex-Obsessed Culture.”
She graduated from Union University in 2008 with a BA in English and Secondary Education. After graduation, Amber taught grades 7, 9, 10, and 11 in the public school system for six years. In addition to her work with EQUIP, Amber also copyedits for Addis Press.
This work matters to Amber because her ex-husband is gay, and she’s seen firsthand some of the ways the Church didn’t offer the things he needed to thrive in his faith. Amber also has two young kids, and if one of them happens to be gay, she wants them to grow up hearing from the Church that God loves gay people and has good things for them.
