A queer orientation marriage is not meant for all Side B Christians, nor should it be. But it may be an option for some, and Aaron & Liz have been making their queer orientation marriage work for over 15 years. A critical aspect of staying healthy as a couple and as individuals is cultivating relationships outside of their marriage, too. Aaron & Liz will be sharing some of those experiences with you.
Liz Munson (she/her) has been in a journey of reconciling her faith and sexuality over the past decade. After 12 years of marriage and 2 kids, she and Aaron found out they were in a "mixed oriented marriage" and were not alone in their journey. Liz is passionate about helping other couples in differently oriented marriages know they don't have to walk through the joys and challenges of marriage by themselves. Aaron and Liz are also passionate about helping churches be safer and more loving toward the LGBTQ+ community.
Aaron Munson (he/him) is a licensed school counselor and a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) who provides virtual counseling for people who are struggling to reconcile their faith and their sexuality/sexual orientation. Aaron also leads a parent group for parents of LGBTQ+ kids to support them on their faith journey as they seek to love their kids well.
